Care

Follow-up visits

Short visits with the prescriber you already know, to see how things are going and keep your plan current.

A follow-up is a short visit with the prescriber who knows your history.

What a follow-up covers

  • 01

    How things are going

You say what has changed, including what has helped and what has not.

  • 02

    What to adjust

The prescriber explains any change before making it, and what to watch for afterward.

  • 03

    Refills and the next visit

Refills are handled here. Ask a week before you run out, and we set the next visit before you leave.

What this is not

Not a place for urgent problems

Follow-ups are scheduled visits. They are not a way to reach us in an emergency. For something urgent call the office during hours, and for a crisis call or text 988 or call 911.

Questions

Three questions about this visit

How long is a follow-up?

Twenty-five minutes, at the office or by video if you are in Colorado.

How often will I come in?

Your prescriber sets the pace with you, and it changes with how you are doing. We do not set a fixed number of visits.

Is a follow-up billed the same way?

Yes. It is billed to your plan as a medical visit where we are in network. Your plan sets your copay or deductible.

Need a follow-up?

Write or call to schedule with your prescriber.
